Wayne Kelly Cockman, 86, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Heartland Rehabilitation in Greensboro.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, August 1, 2025, in Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jay Willard officiating.
A native of Guilford Co., he was a son of the late Hardin and Mary Victoria Hazelwood Cockman and he had lived in Reidsville since 1968. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and a retired mechanic with US Label in Greensboro. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters: Ivis Apple, Corrine Hipps, Edith Jirousek, Kay Levan, and Audry Cockman.
Surviving is his wife: Peggy Harrell Cockman of the home, daughters: Victoria Cockman of the home and Kelly Howerton (Roy) of Madison, grandchildren: Timothy Howerton, John Caleb Howerton, and Kassie Belle Howerton.
The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Cockman family.
