Tommy Joe Martin, 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Annie Penn Hospital.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2025, in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating.
A native of Rockingham Co., he was the son of the late Lawrence and Dora Dean Martin, and he had lived in Reidsville most of his life. Tommy Joe was a member of Covington Wesleyan Church, a N.C. National Guard Veteran, and was the owner and operator of Martin’s Auto and Truck Service. Following his retirement, he worked for D.H. Griffin. He loved fishing, bird hunting and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Edward Martin and Richard Martin.
Surviving is his wife, Gayle Bryant Martin of the home, sons: Tommy Joe Martin, Jr. (Dawn) of Reidsville, Keith Martin (Angie) of Summerfield and Danny Martin of Reidsville, daughter, Cheri M. Brame of Reidsville, grandchildren: Samantha Comer (Johnathan), Katie Martin, Dustin Somers, Krystle Paschal, Walt Martin (Kelsey), Abby Brame and Seth Martin, 5 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home at 207 McCoy Rd Reidsville NC.
