Timothy Wade “Tim” Talley, 70, of Strasburg, PA, formerly of Reidsville, NC, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Grace Fellowship at South Park with Dr. Bert Jones (brother-in-law and Rev. Tommy Wray (cousin and pastor of Smyrna Presbyterian Church) officiating. A private burial will be in Wolf Island Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends at Citty Funeral Home 3:00 PM till 5:00 PM Saturday, October11, 2025.
A native of Rockingham Co., he was the son of the late Ruffin Wade and Nina Veigh Wall Talley and had lived in Reidsville all of his life before moving to Pennsylvania in 2020 to be closer to his son and his family whom he loved with all of his heart.
Tim’s passion for photography began as he and wife Donna opened “Tim Talley Photography” in 1977. His love of people and artistic eye kept their studio successful for 43 years. They closed the studio in 2020 to move to PA so they could make more memories with their son and family.
Over the years, Tim was a member of many different organizations such as: The Reidsville Kiwanis Club, Legacy Life Member of the NRA, The Boy Scouts of America, which he had the honor of becoming a member of the Order of the Arrow and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Tim loved flying remote controlled airplanes and was a member of the local RC Flying Club. He was also a charter member of the Yanceyville Road Fire Dept. where he served for approximately 10 years. In 1977, Tim joined the Professional Photographers of North Carolina. Throughout his photography career, he won numerous awards including the prestigious Kodak Gallery Award and the Fuji Masterpiece Award. Tim also received his Certified Professional Photography Degree in 1981. He graduated from Reidsville High School in 1973 and continued his education at Nashville Auto Diesel where he graduated in 1974 On Tim’s bucket list, he had always dreamed of someday driving for a touring company and so he fulfilled that dream as a driver for Holiday Tours in Randleman for several years. In 2021, after moving to Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Tim started his next journey as an Amish tour guide at The Amish Farm and House in Lancaster, PA, where he worked up until his brief illness took him to his heavenly home.
Preceded in death by parents: Ruffin Wade and Nina Wall Talley and his sister: Barbara Veigh Talley.
