Timothy Dwayne Pruitt

Timothy Dwayne “Tim” Pruitt, 54, of Yanceyville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at SOVAH Health in Danville, VA.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 8, 2023, in Greenview Cemetery.  There will be no formal visitation but you may come by Citty Funeral Home on Friday, July 7, 2023, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM  to sign a register and pay your respects.

A native of Ruffin, he was a son of Evelyn Eanes Pruitt Rierson and the late Hugh Melvin Pruitt, and he had lived in Caswell County for the past 15 years.  Tim was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, a retired employee of ITG, formerly Lorillard Tobacco Co.  He enjoyed tinkering with old cars and he enjoyed cooking, especially Barbeque.  Tim was preceded in death by his father: Hugh Melvin Pruitt and his step-father:  Kenneth Lee Rierson.

Surviving is wife, Pencie Sutton Pruitt of the home, mother, Evelyn Eanes Rierson of Summerfield, step-mother, Doris Setliff Pruitt of Reidsville, brother, Gary Scott “Weeble” Pruitt (Mary) of Summerfield, step-brother, Jeff Rierson (Jenny) of Summerfield and step-sister, Delane R.
