Thresa Carter Strader

Thresa Carter Strader, 93, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday June 14, 2022 at the Gibson House Hospice of Rockingham County. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday June 17, 2022 in Mizpah United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends at the residence. A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late John and Emma Pearman Carter and had lived in Rockingham County her entire life. She was a retired employee of Tultex in Reidsville and was a member of Mizpah United Methodist Church. Mrs. Strader enjoyed sewing, working outside in her yard and garden, and doing puzzles. She loved her family, church family, and her neighbors. Thresa was the last surviving child of twelve children, six sisters and five brothers, she was preceded in death by her husband James Elwood Strader and a son: Craig Strader. Survivors include: her daughter: Debra S. Lawson of King, her son: Donnie Earl Strader of Greensboro, her three granddaughters: Donna Hall, Robin Strader, and Ashlynn Strader, and five great grandchildren.
