Thelma Edwards Elledge

Thelma Edwards Elledge, 88, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday December 25, 2020 at her home. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday December 28, 2020 in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Due to the COVID19 Pandemic, those attending should wear masks or face coverings and social distancing should be observed.  People are invited to come by Citty Funeral Home on Sunday or Monday and pay their respects and sign a register.  A native of Forsyth County, she was a daughter of the late Emmett and Mamie Inscore Edwards and had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She was a retired cafeteria worker with the Rockingham County School System and a member of Christian Fellowship Church where she was the longtime church treasurer. Thelma enjoyed cooking for people, and used to sew and make clothes for her children. She also enjoyed playing bingo.  Mrs. Elledge  was preceded in death by sisters: Virginia Matthews and Jackie Markland and a brother: Frank Edwards. Survivors: include her husband of 63 years: Clifton R. Elledge of the home, a son: Robert Elledge of Greensboro, daughters: Cindy E. Evans of Reidsville, and Mary Niemczura (Mickey) of Reidsville, a brother: Emmett Edwards, Jr. of North Wikesboro, grandchildren: Nikki Graves( Matt), Jamie McCain (Ed), Jacob Niemczura, Josh Niemczura and six great grandchildren.
