Thelma O'Briant Booker

Thelma O’Briant Booker, 97, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Thursday December 12, 2024 at the Gibson House Ancora Compassionate Care (formerly Hospice of Rockingham County).

The family will hold a private informal memorial service at a later date.

A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late William M. “Buck” and Ada Simpson O’Bryant and had lived her entire life in the Midway Community of Rockingham County. She was a retired employee of American Tobacco Company and was the oldest member of Fairview Baptist Church. Thelma enjoyed gardening, and her animals especially her dog Precious. She loved her neighbors and was an excellent cook (she was known for her chocolate pies). She loved music and was a former member of the choir at Fairview Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman T. Booker, her brother: Bennie O’Bryant, sisters: Grace O. Jobe, Helen O. Coleman, Earlene Minter Gammons, and an infant brother: Davis O’Bryant.

She is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
