Terry Glenn Maddux

Terry Glenn Maddux, age 80 years, passed away on April 7, 2025 in Reidsville, North Carolina. Terry was born and raised in Bakersfield, California to parents, Glenn and Edna Ashby Maddux. He had lived in North Carolina for the past 14 years. Terry attended East Bakersfield High School class of 1963. He excelled in sports during his high school years. In football, he was All City his junior and senior years and All City “Back of the Year” in 1962. He was also All City in both basketball and baseball his senior year. He won the Sam Lynn Award as the top athlete of Kern County. Terry attended Oklahoma State University on a football scholarship, but injured his knee. Terry showed both steer and sheep from a young age and professionally as an adult. For a fifty years, he showed more National Champions than anyone else in his field. Terry is survived by his older brother, Harry Maddux and his younger sister Gail Maddux. Also daughters,Debbie Bowman (Rich), and Becky. Grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Seth), Jake and Dani.
