Taylor Dawn Johnson

Our beautiful Taylor Dawn Johnson, beloved daughter of Dawn Tucker Johnson and Allen Johnson, left this earth much too young, on December 19, 2019. Taylor is now holding her precious son, Bair, once again. Taylor was born February 23, 1995 in Gastonia, NC. She attended Rockingham County High School and was a resident of Rockingham County the majority of her life. She had recently lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she attended Palm Beach State College and worked as a cosmetologist. Taylor leaves behind her mother, Dawn Tucker Johnson (Mark); father, Allen Johnson III (Susan); grandparents James and Debbie Tucker; Allen, Jr. and Tina Johnson; brother, Ross Johnson; sister, Allie Johnson; niece, Merci Johnson; and special extended family, Patrick Ziglar, Tristan Olivo, The Settles and The Grahams; Special Acknowledgment to “The Royal Family”, her lifelong friends who were always so close to her.  She was preceded in death by her son, Bair Taylor Johnson, on August 22, 2019.  He was 15 months old. Taylor was a stunningly talented dancer, with so much emotion and passion running through her.  She danced competitively for over 10 years.  She loved the spotlight and loved to perform.  Anyone who knew Taylor knew she was a spunky, stubborn, ball of fire.  She loved hard and she played hard. While Taylor could be such a funny character, she was also very introspective and a guarded, deep thinker.  If she let you in, it was a privilege to get that close to her and love her.  Taylor was certainly a beautiful young woman, but she was so much more.  She had such a spirited nature and was full of life in everything she did. Her parents ask that you not only remember her beautiful spirit, but remember to live life to the fullest because it is much too short and unpredictable.  We will always remember her funny comments, her beautiful brown eyes, and her infectious smile.  Her presence in our lives will surely be missed but we know she is dancing with her Baby Bair again. Funeral Services will be held on Monday December 23rd at 6:00pm at Cornerstone Community Church, 415 McCoy Road, Reidsville NC. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 just prior to the service and again from 7:00 to 8:00.  Refreshments will be served. Dawn Johnson will be officiating. A mausoleum side candlelight vigil will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens on Friday December 27, 2019 at 5:00 pm.  She will be placed in the mausoleum with her son, Bair.
