Susan Elizabeth Calloway Wells

Susan Elizabeth Calloway Wells, 73, of Reidsville passed away on Friday July 19, 2024 at The Caswell House in Yanceyville, NC.

There will be no memorial services at this time.

Born in Ozark, AL, she was a daughter of the late Francis Preston and Mae Vickery Calloway and had lived most of her life in Rockingham County. Susan was very creative and enjoyed painting and drawing, she had a passion for gardening, and was the former president of her garden club in Eden, NC. She volunteered with several nonprofits that supported women in need. She enjoyed music and dancing, had a great smile and loved to laugh. She never met a stranger. Susan loved her family deeply; she was a great listener and always made others feel special. 

Survivors include her husband: Steven W. Wells of Reidsville, her daughter: Angel Bowers (Brett) of Durham, son: Christopher George (Katie) of Caddo Mills, TX,  sister: Frances Hodge of Warner Robins, GA, special niece: Andrea Hodge of Warner Robins, GA, grandchildren: Preston Johnson, Wells Johnson, Everett Bowers, Cheryl Utter-Fowler (Kelli), Ciara George, Cody George (Harley), Caleb Schultz and one great grandchild: Helena Utter.
