Steve Dwayne Neal, 61, of Reidsville peacefully went to be with the Lord, Saturday May 11, 2024 at his home after a lengthy illness with his wife by his side.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 16, 2024 2:00 P.M. at Jerusalem United Holiness Church 633 Prince St. Reidsville, NC. Burial will be in Trinity Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites. The family will see friends at the church Thursday May 16, 2024 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. before the service and at other times will be at the residence.
A native of Reidsville, he is the son of Thomas L. and Mae Peele Neal and had lived in Reidsville his entire life. Steve attended Johnson C. Smith University and was a graduate of Forsyth Technical Community College. He was a veteran of the US Army National Guard, where he served as a utilities equipment repairer. He was a Master Certified RV Technician at Blue Compass RV formerly Bill Plemmons RV World in Rural Hall, NC. Steve taught classes for RV Technicians called Recreational Vehicle Technology. Steve attended Jerusalem United Holiness Church in his youth and currently attended Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Steve enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending time with family especially his granddaughter Harper.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years: Linda McKinney Neal of the home, sons: Eli Neal (Lindsay) of Fayetteville and Christopher Neal of the home, granddaughter: Harper Ryan Neal two years old and the light of his life, parents: Thomas L. and Mae Peele Neal of Reidsville, sisters: Junita Davis and Cassandra Steverson both of Greensboro, Katrena Neal of Durham, sisters in law: Jeanette Malloy of Colfax and Martina Waller (John) of Reidsville, brother-in-law: Michael McKinney of Reidsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Steve’s Uncle Milton for everything he has done and for always being there for Steve.
For Steve’s special caretaker during his illness, his sister Cassandra was there for the entire duration. They laughed, fought and went on lengthy drives that made Steve’s days all the better. Steve's journey would not have been the same without you. We can never thank you enough and let you know how much we appreciate you and love you.
