Stephen was a friend to everyone he met. He was engaging and animated. He was witty and quick with jokes that made everyone laugh around him. History was his passion. He loved to engage in deep intellectual conversations regarding politics, current worldly events, and sports. His heart was big to all those in need and helped every stranger he met, including stray cats.
Stephen graduated from West Forsyth High and attended Western Carolina University, Cape Fear Community College, and Forsyth Tech.
Growing up Stephen loved playing sports. He played for schools that he attended and YMCA leagues. His skill was in basketball. It was his favorite sport and always his choice of game to play. In Stephen’s free time you could always find him dribbling a ball on a court and starting a game with anyone who was willing to play. Stephen was his happiest when he was surrounded by all his family where he was the center of attention with his comedic antics that made everyone laugh. He loved his family dearly and his family loved him deeply.
Stephen thoroughly enjoyed his career in hospitality at the Millenium Center and The Local in Winston Salem. He also enjoyed spending time traveling and working for multiple political campaigns. He currently was employed at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse.
