Shirley Williams Haley

Shirley Williams Haley, 82, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Tuesday July 21, 2020 at Jacob’s Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Madison, NC after several years of declining health. Private graveside services will be conducted in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Due to COVID-19 social distancing and masks are encouraged.  A native of Reidsville, she was a daughter of the late Bill O. Williams, Sr. and the late Lottie Wilson “Polly” Williams and had lived most of her life in Reidsville. She retired from Burlington Industries after 25 years of service, after realizing that retirement wasn’t for her, she went to work at Vanity Fair Corporation in Reidsville where she later retired for a second time. Shirley was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Frances Williams and the father of her daughter: Bobby Haley. Survivors include her daughter: Sabrina H. Chaney (Kenneth), a granddaughter: Haley Chaney, brothers: Billy O. Williams, Jr. and wife Ann and their son Mike, and Earl Williams and wife Linda and their son Van, and a sister: Joan W. Walker and her sons Chris and Jeff. Special thanks to Hospice of Rockingham County and Jacob’s Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation for their care and concern throughout Shirley’s illness.
