Sarah Green Covington

Sarah Green Covington, 79, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Friday January 9, 2026 at her home.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Monday January 12, 2026 at Monticello Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times the family will be at the residence.

A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late James Rufus and Ada Moore Green and had lived in Reidsville most of her life. A graduate of Appalachian State University, she was a retired teacher and had taught most of her career at Reidsville Middle School. An avid reader, Sarah enjoyed traveling and gave extensively to many charitable organizations. She loved cats and had many as pets throughout her life.

Survivors include her brother: James W. Green of Reidsville, her niece: Tracy Edwards of Martinsville, VA, her nephew: Brian Green of Martinsville, VA, her great niece: Gracie Edwards of Martinsville, VA and great nephew: Tyler Green of Graham, NC
