Sallie Frazier Sykes, 91, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday, March 13, 2026 at 3:30 pm at Main Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Andrew Brown officiating. Internment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends from 2:30-3:15 Friday, March 13, 2026 in the fellowship hall of the church.
A native of Halifax County, NC, she was the daughter of Clement Gray and Odell Pullen Frazier. She was a former bookkeeper at Rosenbloom Levy Clothing Store, Rocky Mount Undergarments, and MBM in Rocky Mount, NC. She lived in Reidsville since 1991. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and enjoyed the women’s ministries there. She was also a long time volunteer at Annie Penn Hospital. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, cooking, watching the birds in her yard from her recliner, and watching NC State sports. She also enjoyed listening to country music and watching the CMA awards shows.
Sallie was preceded in death by her husband, Everette, her grandson, Geoffrey Peoples, her brothers: Chester and CG Frazier, and her sisters: Allean Edwards, Maxine Stallings, and Ruth McDuffie.
Survivors include her daughters, Llewellyn Peoples (Mike), Melissa Matherly (Tommy), both of Reidsville and her son, Steve Sykes (Jan) of Cohutta, Ga, six grandchildren: Katherine Roupp (Chris), Christopher Peoples (Danielle), Christen Sykes, Matthew Sykes (April), Christopher Matherly (Harley), and Elizabeth Matherly, seven great grandchildren: Parker, Noah, Lauren, Leo, Grant, Sullivan, and Emma.
