Ruby Jones Beville

Ruby Jones Beville, 98, of 240 Beville Rd. went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at her home.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Fairgrove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Christy officiating.  Those wishing to pay their respects, may come by Citty Funeral Home on Friday, January 21, 2022, and Saturday, January 22, 2022, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM or on Sunday, January 23, 2022, between the hours of 8:00 AM 12:30 PM. The family will receive friends at the home.

A native of Guilford Co., she was a daughter of the late Columbus Andrew and Maggie O’Bryant Jones and had lived in Rockingham Co. most of her life.  She was a bookkeeper with Jefferson-Standard Life Ins. For 10 years and then became the bookkeeper and a homemaker at the family dairy farm. Mrs. Beville was a member of Fairgrove United Methodist Church, the Monroeton Garden Club, the Ladies Auxillary with the V.F.W. Post 8297, and the United Methodist Women at her church.  She was preceded in death by her husband; William Charles “Bill” Beville, a grandson; John Beville and by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Surviving are sons; Charles Bradford “Shorty” Beville (Linda) of Reidsville and Johnny Ray Beville (Dot) of Reidsville, daughter; Jann B. Jones of Reidsville, brothers; Bobby Lee Jones (Betty) of Reidsville and Travis Joel Jones (Kim) of Greensboro, sisters; India Mae Proctor of Summerfield and Betty Rae Hohn of Greensboro, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.  The family would like to especially thank Charlene Woodson for her kindness and thoughtful care during Mrs. Beville’s Illness.
