Rose Mary Porterfield

Rose Mary Porterfield, 59, of Eden went to Rest in Eternal Paradise on Sunday, October 17, 2021. A visitation will be held at the home of her mother, Katie Porterfield 1761 Wolf Island Rd. Reidsville on Saturday October 30, 2021 from 11:00 AM until. A native of Reidsville, she had lived most of her life in Rockingham Co.  Rose Mary was preceded in death by her father, Curtis J. Porterfield and her son, Curtis D. McAlister.  Rose was the backbone of her family and a caregiver who gave a helping hand to many people throughout her life.  She had a certain spunk about her that you couldn’t help but love and a contagious laugh.  She enjoyed picking and cutting up with everyone.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Wilson of Reidsville, significant other, Eddie Wilson of Eden, her mother, Katie Porterfield of Reidsville, her sister, Tammy Porterfield of Reidsville, her brothers, Joseph Porterfield of Ruffin, Danny Porterfield (Claudia) of Reidsville, Wesley Porterfield of Reidsville, and Kenneth Porterfield of Eden, many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
