Rosa Irene Stone Griffin

Rosa Irene Stone Griffin, 84, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Thursday August 27, 2020. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday August 30, 2020 in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. The family will see friends at the residence 9672 US Hwy 158 West Reidsville, NC. She will lie in state at Citty Funeral Home and you may sign the register and pay your respects Saturday August 29, 2020 from 8:00 Am till 6:00 PM and Sunday August 30, 2020 from 8:00 AM until 1:45 PM.  A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Pettis and Rosa Toler Stone and had lived her entire life in Rockingham County. She was a home maker and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Monroeton Fire Department Auxiliary, and the Cross Key Extension Club. She shared her ministry by sending cards to the soldiers, the sick, the shut-ins, and her many friends and family members. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Rosa Sue Griffin, a son: David Lee Griffin, great grandson: Jeremiah Hayden, brothers: Herman Stone, Jerry Stone, and David Stone, and sisters: Inez Stone Warf, Juanita Stone Stanley, Mozelle Stone Loftis. Survivors include her husband of 68 years: James Lee Griffin of the home, daughters: Janet G. Brame (Freddie) of Reidsville, Nancy G. Wright (Ronald) of Hubert, NC, and Nettie Griffin of Germanton, NC,  Brother: Clay Stone (Donna) of Reidsville, sisters: Marion Ridgeway of Halifax, VA, Marie Stanley of Greensboro, 12 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren.  Rosa asked that memorials be made to Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 2531 Flatrock Rd.
