Robert Monroe Robertson, 79, of Kernersville, NC went to be with the Lord Wednesday June 15, 2022 at Summerstone Health and rehabilitation in Kernersville. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday June 20, 2022 in Thompsonville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Duane King officiating. The family will see friends in the fellowship hall of Thompsonville Baptist Church following the service. A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Dan William and Effie Smith Robertson and had lived in Rockingham County most of his life and his last years in Kernersville. He was a former employee of J. P. Stevens Trucking and Salem Leasing Trucking where he was a mechanic. He was a member of Main St. Baptist Church in Kernersville, and enjoyed woodworking, jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He truly loved spending time with his family. Robert was preceded in death by his sons: James Gary Robertson, and Timothy Monroe Robertson, a brother: Leon Robertson and his sisters: Shirley Frazier, Nannie Mae Strader, Louise Little, and Glenda Pinnix, and a grandson: James Christopher Isley. Survivors include his wife: Janice Lawhon Robertson, his daughter: Cynthia R. Zamora (Juan) of Kernersville, sons: Robert (Robby) Robertson (Dana) and Michael Robertson (Dawn) both of Eden, his brothers; Cecil Robertson, and Larry Robertson (Judy), both of Reidsville, Roger Robertson ( Helen) of Ruffin, and Mike Robertson (Pat) of Pelham, his sisters; Carolyn Hall, Brenda Singleton (Carson) and Janice Vogler all of Reidsville, his grandchildren: Timothy Witt, Billy Jo Paschal, Stephanie Robertson, Robert “Tres” Robertson, III (Jennifer), Kelli “KC” Isley, Kayla Dix (Evan), Nora Beth Kennon (Hampton), Kendall Robertson,John Reynolds and Kimberly Morris, nineteen great grandchildren.
