Robert David McKinney

Robert David “Bobby” McKinney, 62, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Higher Standards Home in Caswell Co.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 4, 2021, in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Mike Campbell officiating.

A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late Emmett and Margaret Huffman McKinney and he had lived in Rockingham Co. most of his life.  Bobby was baptized at Thompsonville Baptist Church and he read his Bible daily.  He was a gifted “finished carpenter”, a good natured man who loved animals and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.  He was the primary caregiver for his Dad and his Mother as long as they were able to live at home.  Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Donnie, Lee, and Chip McKinney and sisters, Joyce Stadler, Margaret Sharp, and Janice Kenyon.

He is survived by brothers’ Richard McKinney and Paul McKinney both of Reidsville, sisters, Shelby Somers (Claude) of Reidsville, Diane Vernon of Reidsville, Pam Watson (Mac) of Smithfield, VA, Becky Chatmon (Allen) of Reidsville, and Vanessa Singer of Charlotte.

The family would like to thank Kasey Ross and the staff of Higher Standard and Hospice of Rockingham Co.  Citty Funeral Home is assisting the McKinney family.
