Richard Jackson “Jack” Hudson, 85, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Annie Penn Hospital.
There will be a graveside service in Evergreen Memory Gardens at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Military Rites by the Rockingham Co. Veteran’s Honor Guard and the US Navy will be performed.
A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late Herbert Hudson and Sadie Jones Hudson and he had lived in Reidsville most of his life. Jack was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired employee of Miller Brewery. He loved his children, grandchildren & great grandchild and loved to take his dog Cookie for rides on his side by side. Jack loved his cat Mellow and enjoyed simple pleasures like mowing the lawn. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Leonard Hudson, Thomas Hudson and his sisters: Catherine Gammon & Ruby Mae Moss.
He is survived by his wife: Marie Watkins Hudson of the home, son: Richard J. “Ritchie” Hudson Jr. (Ruggero Morselli) of Orlando, daughter: Crystal H. Griffin (Brian) of Burlington, grandchildren: Lee Moore (Becca), Sasha Snow (Logan) & Riley Griffin, great grandchild: Carson “Bean” Snow.
