Richard Lee Garrell

Richard Lee Garrell, Sr., 80, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Sunday April 14, 2024 at his home.

There will be no memorial services at this time.

A native of Reidsville, he was a son of the late Gordon and Mozelle Sweeney Garrell had lived his entire life in Rockingham County, and was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a retired supervisor for ZARN Plastics in Reidsville, and was a member of the Williamsburg Wildlife Lake, where he enjoyed fishing for bass. Richard was preceded in death by his wife:  Geraldine Pruitt Garrell, a sister: Shirley Spain and a brother: Gordon Ray Garrell.

Survivors include his son: Richard L. Garrell, Jr. of the home, and a daughter: Jennifer G. Somers of Wilmington, NC, three grandchildren: Jacob Somers, Kaitlin Somers, and Lillie Somers, a sister: Nancy Brammer (Bill) of Emerald Isle, and a special niece: Beverly Cayton of Durham.
