Richard Lawton “Dick” Crapse, 78, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 2 2025 at 11:00 AM at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Greensboro.
A native of Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late Asbury Lawton and Mary Louise Joyner Crapse and he had lived in Reidsville since 1992. Dick was retired from the Greensboro Housing Authority, and was a former police officer. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps, the Army National Guard, the N.C. Air National Guard and Civil Air Patrol. Dick served 23 years in differing military branches, and was a member of Holy Infant Catholic Church. He was very well known for is story telling ability.
Surviving is his wife: Kathleen Pummer Crapse of the home, his son: Richard William Kelly-Crapse (Mary) of Fuqua Varina, and one grandson: William Francis Kelly-Crapse.
Citty Funeral Home of Reidsville is assisting the Crapse family.
