Rama Perdue Smith

Rama Perdue Smith, 80, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wendell Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery.  The family will see friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM and at other times at the residence, 138 Mullins Rd.  Reidsville, NC 27320.

A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Connie Edward and Myrtle Sue Carter Perdue and she had lived in Reidsville all of her life.  Rama was a member of Grace Covenant Holiness Church and a retired employee of UNIFI.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband:  Robert Ray Smith Sr. and by a brother:  Paul Edward “Duck” Perdue.

She is survived by her son:  Robert Ray Smith Jr. (Tanya) of Reidsville and by her daughter:  Gloria S. Thompson of Reidsville, her brother:  James William “Pete” Perdue (Becky) of Reidsville, her sisters:  Betty Ann Towery of Maiden, Wilma P. Jesse (John Wesley) of Reidsville, Sarah “Cindy” P. Miller (Jeffrey) of Reidsville, and Dorothy Grey Pruitt of Carthage, her grandchildren:  Meredith Lea Smith, Ashley Rae Thompson and Valerie S. Moore (Seth), and her great grandchildren:  Max Carson Moore and Brayden Kole Thompson.
