Pencie Trent Sutton

Pencie Clark Trent Sutton, 80, formerly of Reidsville went to be with the Lord on Thursday April 22, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday April 27, 2021 in Greenview Cemetery with Rev. Austin Meadows officiating. The family request that masks be worn and social distancing be observed at the service. You may come by Citty Funeral Home Sunday and Monday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM to sign the register and show your respects.  A native of Reidsville, she was a daughter of the late Fred H. and Gladys Davis Trent and had lived most of her life in Reidsville. Pencie was retired from Drs. Mabe and McInnis’s Medical Practice as a clerical worker. She was a lifelong member of Reidsville First Baptist Church and was an affiliate of Emma Anderson Memorial Chapel in Topsail Beach, NC. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at North Star Knitting and Crocheting Group at the Rockingham Agriculture Extension Service, attending and leading Bible Studies, and having lunch with the ladies of the Birthday Club in Topsail Beach. Pencie was preceded in death recently  by her husband of 59 years:  William Thomas “Tommy’ Sutton. Survivors include her daughter:  Penny Sutton Pruitt and husband Tim of the home.
