Paul Elmer Withers

Paul Elmer Withers 78, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday April 11, 2025 at his home.

A graveside service will be conducted at a later date in Lubbock, TX.

A native of Bonham, TX, he was a son of the late John Eli and Bessie Rowland Withers and had lived in North Carolina for the past 15 years moving here from Texas. A former truck driver, he had driven for Swift Transportation and later for Paschall Truck Lines. Paul was a US Army Vietnam Veteran serving from 1966 to 1967. He was an ordained minister, and was ordained at Butler Heights Baptist Church in Lubbock, TX. He enjoyed working on cars, driving his truck, watching television, and visiting with friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Lou Benton Withers, two brothers, and four sisters.

Survivors include his sons: Kevin Withers of Waco, TX and Dwayne Withers (Mary) of West, TX, daughter: Marilyn Withers (John Koziol) of Pueblo, CO, brother: Bobby Withers of Lubbock, TX, grandchildren: Joshua Withers, Emma Coblentz (Jordan), Ashley Withers, Nicole Rollo (Brian Cabalar), Julie Rollo, and Johnny Wasik. Great grandchildren: Audrey, Astrid, and Aidan.
