Paul Daniel “Danny” Ellis, 72, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Sunday June 13, 2021 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital Greensboro, NC. The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Wednesday June 16, 2021 at Citty Funeral Home. The family will hold a memorial services at a later date. A native of Guilford County, he was a son of the late James Lloyd and Myrtle Howard Ellis and had lived in Rockingham County since 1972. He was employed by Pennrose Carwash and was a former employee of Hopkins Poultry, the Rockingham County EMS and Guilford County EMS. He was a member of The Yanceyville Road Vol . Fire Department and was preceded in death by brothers: Bernard Ellis, Bruce Ellis and Timothy Ellis, and sisters: Christine Robertson and Betty Sue Ketchen. Survivors include a son: Eric Carter (Michelle) of Madison, daughters: Missy Tester (Ben) and Nicki Goodson (David) both of Reidsville, brother: Don H. Ellis Sr. of Julian, grandchildren: Clint Tester (Amanda) Emily Byess (Andrew) Ericka Carter, Taylor Carter, Madison Goodson, and Zachary Goodson, great grandchild: Maggie Reid Byess.   Memorials may be sent to: The Yanceyville Road Vol. Fire Department 3361 Hwy 158 East Reidsville, NC   27320.
