Patricia Mae Smith "Pat" Knight

Patricia Mae Smith “Pat” Knight, 75, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Thursday March 16, 2023 at The Gibson House Hospice of Rockingham County.  Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Monday March 20, 2023 in Reidlawn Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation, but the public may come by and show your respects and sign a register Sunday March 19, 2023 from 8:00 AM till 6:00 PM and Monday March 20, 2023 8:00 AM till Noon. A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Ethel Miller Smith and had lived in the Reidsville area most of her life. She had previously worked at Creighton Shirtmakers, Fieldcrest Finishing Mill and finished her working career at Macfield as a texturing operator. She enjoyed fishing at the coast, cooking, taking care of her yard and flowers, and watching TV. Her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her immediate family. She looked forward to family gatherings with her extended family and was always taking care of people in need. Pat was preceded in death by brothers: Robert Smith, Herbert Smith, Gary “Monk” Smith, and Melvin Smith, and a grandson: Joshua Harris. Survivors include: her husband of 57 years Paul V. Knight of the home, daughter: Lisa Harris (Brent) of Ruffin, son: Tim Knight (Sharon) of Reidsville, sisters: Leona “Lee: Crowder (Allen) and Lois Hall both of Reidsville, grandchildren: Justin Knight (Allison), Brenner Harris (Katelyn), Jayrin Harris (Makenna) and Crystal Knight (David) and a great grandchild: Whitney Knight.
