Patricia Ann (Rhodes) Hanks

Patricia Ann “Pat” Rhodes Hanks, 88, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 13, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Pastor Chad Williams and Rev. Pat Bush officiating.  The family will see friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.

A native of Stokes Co., she was a daughter of the late Harvey Edison and Kathleen Grogan Rhodes and she had lived in Rockingham Co. most of her life.  Pat was a 1955 graduate of Bethany High School, a retired Legal Secretary with the Law Office of Holt & Watt in Reidsville and a member of Brown Summit Baptist Church.  She loved working in her yard and in her flowers and gardening was her true passion.  Pat loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was a very good cook.  She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband of 47 years:  Robert Clyde Hanks and by her best friend:  Eunice Soyars.

Surviving is her son:  Kimmy Clyde Hanks (Melissa) of Reidsville, her daughters:  Robin H. Smith (Dean) of Reidsville and Kathy H. Williams of Reidsville, her sister:  Arlene R. Isley (Danny) of Reidsville, her grandchildren:  April Fix (Andrew), Brandon Hanks, Andrea Williams (Josh), Austin Hanks(Ciana) and Justin Hanks, her great grandchildren:  Ansley, Addison, Jackson, Olivia, Brian, Caleb, Lennon, Maggie, and Josie.

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Rebecca , for taking great care of our Mother.  She not only was her caregiver, but she trusted her more than anyone.  Also thank you to the staff and management of Brookdale Reidsville for their care and concern during her brief stay there, especially Tracy, Crystal, Sandy, Michelle and Ruby.
