Mildred Fain Roberts

Mildred Fain Roberts, 77, of 1251 Walnut St. went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021) at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00PM Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at Reidlawn Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation but you may come by Citty Funeral Home and sign a register and pay your respects on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 8:00AM till 6:00PM and on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 8:00AM till 12:30 PM.

A native of Rockingham Co., she was a daughter of the late William Melvin and Minnie Sue Gilley Fain and had lived in Reidsville most of her life.  She was a member of New Heights Baptist Church and a homemaker.  In her younger days, Mrs. Roberts enjoyed dancing, gardening and caring for her children.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers; James Moyer Fain, William Edgar Fain, Charlie Fain, and Melvin Carlton Fain, and 2 sisters;  Annie Mae Watkins and Alma Sue Blakley.

Survivors include; her son; Charles W. Roberts (Barbara) of Reidsville, daughter; Michelle Roberts (Will Bowers) of Reidsville, brothers; Oscar Fain (Joyce) of Dry Fork, VA, Morris Fain of Reidsville, and Harold Eugene “Tootsie” Fain (Thelma) of Reidsville, sister; Doris Ann Duncan (Martin) of Reidsville,  grandchildren; Justin Hunter, Joey Walker, Kendall Walker Pruitt (Scottie), Hannah Roberts, and Haley Roberts,  great grandchildren; Arianna Casey, Ysabelle Carlson, Kailey Pruitt, Kinsley Pruitt, Journie Pruitt, Nolan Hunter, Grayson Walker, and Gemma Merricks.
