Michael Penn Branch

Michael Penn “Mike” Branch, 85 of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Sunday November 17, 2024 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday November 21, 2024 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Boyd Joyce and Rev. Joe Hout officiating. Burial will be in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Wednesday November 20, 2024 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence.

A native of Reidsville, he was a son of the late William Daniel and Lula Cates Branch and had lived in Reidsville his entire life. He was a retired letter carrier with the US Postal Service and following retirement he and his wife ran Mike’s Art and Frames in downtown Reidsville. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was a former member of Community Baptist Church. A US Army Veteran, Mike was preceded in death by a grandson: Christopher M. Smith, nine brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Jean Vaughn Branch of the home, sons: Michael P. Branch, II and Thomas Daniel Branch (Teresa)  both of Reidsville, daughter: Judy L. Napier (Marvin) of Demossville, brother: Granville D. Branch (Jean) of Reidsville, nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
