 Melba Teresa Caton, 80 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday July 27, 2021, at the Penn Nursing Center.

A native of Panama City Panama, she was the daughter of the late Neville U. and Edna C. Caton. Melba was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and a member of The Community Baptist Church.

Ms. Caton was preceded in death by her parents and her son Gregory Holder.

She leaves behind to mourn her loss her sons; Enos and Levy, her daughters; Dalys, Milvia, and Leandra, her brother Tyrone Caton, 14 Grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

 Melba studied and graduated from the Instituto Justo Arosemena where she majored in

Business Administration and excelled academically.

Post-graduation: she had a very lucrative career as a Bilingual Secretary and Legal Secretary in her native home of Panama and the United States.

One of the last positions she held was as a Legal Secretary at The Mexican Embassy in NYC.

She later retired and moved to Reidsville with her daughter Milvia in 2002. There, they joined her oldest daughter Dalys, a couple of years later her youngest daughter Leandra joined them as well.

They all enjoyed the slower pace and quiet offered by small town living.

Melba was a devout Christian for over 50 years and absolutely loved sharing the gospel with anyone who would listen. She truly treasured her walk with God, and it showed!
