Mattie Irene Brock Winkler

On December 15, 2022 at 6:01 a.m. Mattie Irene Brock Winkler, loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 84 at the home of her son in Reidsville, NC.  She was born on April 16, 1938 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ruby Brock.Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Winkler, one son-in-law, Brian and one great granddaughter, Kristen.She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Donnie Winkler (Darlene), Harold Winkler, Paul Winkler (Veronica), Kim Samples (Buddy Smith), Venita Cox (Dan), 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville, KY with the Rev. Gayle Brown officiating.  Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Bagdad Cemetery.
