Marvin Thomas Trent

Marvin Thomas Trent, 84, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Tuesday July 7, 2026 at his home after a short illness.

According to his wishes there will be no formal memorial service.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late William Walter Trent and Nellie Sartin Trent Martin and had lived in Reidsville his entire life. A member of Freedom Baptist Church, he was a retired employee of Ball Corporation. Marvin enjoyed fishing, gardening (where he sharded his vegetables with friends and family), and working around the farm especially looking after his cows. He was a pilot and had his own airplane, he enjoyed flying with his wife. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Margie Brawner and his brother: Robert Lee Trent.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Linda Barham Trent of the home, daughters: Sharon T. Turner of Reidsville and Wanda T. Ridlon (Russell) of Madison and a granddaughter: Bailee Ridlon of New Bern, NC.
