Marie Cunningham Adkins

Marie Cunningham Adkins, 62, of 134 Short Rd. in Stoneville, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family 5:00 PM Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at 715 Crescent Dr. Reidsville, NC. A native of Chester Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Rita Plaisted Cunningham and had lived in Rockingham Co. for the past 31 years.  She was a retired Office Clerk  and was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister; Bobbie Cunningham, and by a grandson;  Michael Moore. Surviving is her husband; Phillip Wayne Adkins of the home, son; Christopher W. Adkins (Rebecca) of Providence Forge, VA, her daughter; Michelle Moore of Greenville, Miss, her brothers; Ran Cunningham (Linda) of Fieldale, VA and Rudy Cunningham (Sharon) of Boones Mill, VA, her sisters; Kim Johnson of Washington, DC and Toni Brown of Collinsville, VA, grandchildren; Maverick Adkins, Marshall Adkins, and Christopher Moore.  Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Adkins family.  Memorials may be made to the Rockingham Animal Shelter 250 Cherokee Camp Rd. Reidsville, NC  27320
