Margaret Arthur “Peggy” Warf, 70, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Thursday September 11, 2025 at her home.
Memorial Services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday September 17, 2025 at First Baptist Church. A private inurnment will be in the church columbarium. The family asks everyone in attendance to wear yellow since it was Peggy’s favorite color, The family will see friends 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. before the service at First Baptist Church and at other times will be at the residence.
A native of Reidsville, she was the daughter of the late Grier L. “Joey” and Margaret Earle Arthur and had lived in Reidsville her entire life. She was a graduate of Appalachian State University with a bachelors degree in library science. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church where she participated in Liveology, was a GA’s leader, went on missions trips to Guatemala and Bali, and served as the Church Librarian for more than 20 years. Peggy enjoyed cooking, working in the yard, traveling especially to the beach. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Peggy was a retired librarian with 30 years service with Rockingham County Schools mainly at Moss Street Elementary School.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years: Roger Warf of the home, daughter: Amy Matthews (Justin) of Reidsville, son: Allen Warf (Kim) of Reidsville, a brother: Steve Arthur (Jeanette) of Louisburg, grandchildren: Hunter Warf, Austin Warf, Leah Matthews, Luke Matthews Jackson Matthews loving nieces: Nicole Jones (Ben) and Brittany Payne (Lee).
