Mae Hathaway Ayers

Mae Hathaway Ayers, 90, went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Countryside Manor in Stokesdale.

A Private Inurnment will be held at the St. Thomas Episcopal Columbarium.

A native of Tarboro, NC, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Annie Cox Hathaway and she had lived in Reidsville most of her life.  She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and was a retired receptionist with Farmers Mutual Insurance Co.  Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Brett Ayers and all of her siblings.

She is survived by her sons, Brett Ayers (Carolyn) of Winona, MN and Adam Ayers (Ann) of Chapel Hill, her daughter, Lori A. Greene (Tim) of Reidsville, her grandchildren, Andrew Ayers, Elaine Ayers, Alex Preston (Bryant), Cara Greene, Amelia Ayers, and Louisa Ayers, her great grandchildren, Fisher, Walker, Natalie, and Abigail Preston.

Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Ayers family.
