Lyla Sage Burnett

It is with our hearts full of love and sorrow we announce the death of our daughter Lyla Sage Burnett, Lyla passed away Sunday September 28, 2025 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Winston-Salem, NC.

With much anticipation and preparation, we looked forward to the birth of our dear daughter, but Jesus decided he needed another angel in heaven. Through our faith we know that someday we will hold our precious daughter again. As we lay you down to sleep our sweet sweet girl. We sit back and we think about how God gives the hardest battles to his strongest warriors and we never thought our hardest battle would be giving you to heaven! She was preceded in death by two siblings, her maternal grandmother: Mary Cheyenne Stufflebeam and her great grandmother: Barbara Jo Hill.

Lyla is survived by her parents: Taylor Marie Jones and Cody Alan Burnett, her big sister: Aryanna Jo Burnett, her maternal grandparents: Joey D. Jones (Marsha) and Megan Johnson, her paternal grandfather: Kevin W. Burnett.
