Lorene Pritchett Stallings

Dorothy Lorene Pritchett Stallings, 95, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Thursday September 11, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday September 18, 2025 in Mizpah Methodist Church with Rev. Bethany Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 Wednesday September17, 2025  at Citty Funeral Home and following the service in the fellowship hall of Mizpah Methodist Church.

A native of Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Robert O. and Elizabeth Brown Pritchett and had lived in Rockingham County most of her life. A retired Registered Nurse at Annie Penn Hospital, Lorene was a member of Mizpah Methodist Church and a former member of First United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of St. Leo’s Nursing School in Greensboro, NC. Lorene enjoyed cooking and was known for her pound cakes and chicken pies. She was very involved with Project Linus (which provides blankets for patients in the hospital). Many newborns received one of her handmade blankets or toys. She loved her time with the grandchildren on the farm and at the cabin, and she was preceded in death by her husband: Roy Stallings, Jr. and a grandson:  Joshua Phillips and a brother: Robert Pritchett.

Survivors include: her daughter: Wanda S. Phillips of Reidsville, her sons: Phillip Stallings (Darlene) of New Bern and Bernard Stallings (Janet Marie) of Charlotte, her sisters: Peggy Davis of Reidsville, and Betty Price of Columbia, SC, grandchildren: Jeremiah Phillips (Jamie) and James Stallings (Alaina), great grandchildren: Grayson, Eli, Angel, Sylas, Leah, her best friend and caregiver: Lois Bell of Reidsville.
