Lojean "Jean" Frank Moore

Lojean “Jean” Frank Moore was born May 1, 1939 in Wythe County, Virginia and went to be with the Lord Tuesday May 16, 2023 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday May 19, 2023 at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will see friends 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. Friday before the service at the church and at other times will be at the home.

A daughter of the late Joe and Ruby Watson Frank, she had lived in Rockingham County for the last 60 years.  Jean was a graduate of Rural Retreat High School and Wadell Hospital School of Medical Technology. She became a registered laboratory technician and proceeded to work in the medical field for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Shirley Shuster and Wanda Brinkley.

She enjoyed reading, taking trips and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean was a member of Sharon Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Secretary.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years: John Moore, son: Tony Moore (Kimberly), grandchildren: Sarah Rupp (Michael), Jeremy Moore (Emily) great grandchildren: Connor and Austin Rupp, Jonah and Savannah Moore, brother-in-law: Jimmy Brinkley, niece: Rhonda Cox and family of Crockett, VA
