Leroy Wayne Kennedy

Leroy Wayne Kennedy, 77, of Eden formerly of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday June 25, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 28, 2025 at Thompsonville Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Jones and Rev. Ryan Crowder. The family will see friends 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. before the service and in the fellowship hall of the church following the service.

A native of Carthage, NC, he was a son of the late John Raymond Kennedy and the late Zelma Arnold Kennedy Brigman and had lived in Rockingham County for the past 47 years.

He was a retired employee of Marsh Kitchens and Kitchen Art where he was a cabinet maker and installer. Leroy enjoyed woodworking, NASCAR, and loved to be around his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He looked forward to family gatherings and always was taking care of other people. Leroy was preceded in death by his wife: Rebecca Lumley “Becky Kennedy, and brothers: Eugene Kennedy, and Kenneth Kennedy.

Survivors include his daughter: Mary Jane Perdue (Jason) of Eden, sons: Timothy Kennedy (Michelle) and Bryan Kennedy (Annette) both of Reidsville, grandchildren: Meagen Kennedy Walker (Taylor), Brandon Perdue, Ian Perdue, Bryanna Kennedy, B.W. Kennedy, Raegen Kennedy and great grandchildren: Reid Walker and Rhett Walker. sisters: Sheila Lott of Mayflower, AR, Mary Bailey and Marie Coles (Johnny) both of Carthage and his brother: Frankie Brigman (Beverly of Greensboro.
