Leona Knowles Warren

Leona Knowles Warren, 92, passed peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Annie Penn Hospital.

Graveside services will be conducted at Reidlawn Cemetary on Wednesday, October 29 at 2:00pm, 1530 Barnes St. Reidsville, NC with Bruce Talley officiating.  A Celebration of Life following the service at The Leaf and Teller, 100 S.Scales St Reidsville , NC 27320

A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late George Andrew Jackson “Jack” Knowles and wife Lillian Busick Knowles. They lived in the Williamsburg Community of Rockingham County most of their life.  She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses,  former employee of The American Tobacco Co., a self-employed Hairdresser and was an AVON Representative for 25 years.  Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her parents, her Husband:  Yancey William “Bill” Warren, her Daughter:  Judy W. Miller, her Brothers:  George A. Knowles, Jr., David A. Knowles and by her Sister:  Pauline K. Burgamy.

Mrs. Warren is survived by her Daughters:  Gipsie W. Hixson and Husband:  Dr. Mark Hixson of Raleigh and Jackie Warren of Madison , 8 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and many Beloved Nieces and Nephews.
