LaVisa Chrismon Walker

LaVisa Chrismon Walker, 89, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Clemmons Village 1 in Clemmons, NC.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert Kerr officiating and burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery.

A native of Guilford Co., she was a daughter of the late Jennings Bryant and Ollie Huffines Chrismon and she had lived in Reidsville and Madison  most of her life.   Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son:  Gregory Franklin Walker, and her brother:  Randall Chrismon and by her sister:  Kathleen C. Bowman.

LaVisa was a former elementary school teacher with the Reidsville City Schools and a former employee of Wilkerson Funeral Home.  She began her career at North End School and later taught at Franklin St. School.  After moving to Madison, she was a substitute teacher with the Madison Mayodan School System.  LaVisa was a former member of garden clubs in Reidsville, Madison and at Deep Springs and she was an avid bridge player.  She was a member of Main St. United Methodist Church and she had been the buyer for Annie’s Corner gift shop at Annie Penn Hospital and was a member of the hospital auxiliary.

Surviving is her son:  Kenan Bryant Walker and wife:  Jane of Clemmons and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will see friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM Friday, April 3, 2026, at Citty Funeral Home.  The family would like to thank the staff of Clemmons
