Kenneth Wade "Joe" Adkins

 Kenneth Wade “Joe” Adkins, 71, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday May 28, 2021 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Thursday June 3, 2021 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Reidlawn Cemetery.  A native of Pittsylvania County , VA, he was a son of the late Lindsey L. and Nora P. Dodson Adkins and had lived most of his life in Rockingham County. He was a former self-employed truck driver and had worked at Reedy Fork Farms in Guilford County and later worked at the Kmart Distribution Center in Greensboro. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and had a great love of music and dancing and was a member of Straightway Baptist Church. Joe was preceded in death by his daughter: Angela Dawn Adkins and sisters: Lisa Marie Adkins and Mary “Tudy” Adkins Hanks. Survivors include: his daughters: Penny Adkins Miller (Bo) and Sherry Nava Bradley (Johnny) both of Reidsville, brothers: Lindsey “Bud” Adkins (Vicki) of High Point and Roger “Bill” Adkins (Dina) of Augusta, GA, grandchildren: Angelina Nava, JoVoni  Nava, Juliana Bradley, McKenzie Bradley, Alexis Bradley and Aiden Miller, special friends: Susie Adkins (Richard), and Darlene Hanks-Lovelace (Rodney), and the mother of his children: Mary Lee Johnson (Tracy). The family will see friends 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. Wednesday June 2, 2021 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at Styles Unlimited 1837 Barnes St. Reidsville, NC.
