Joseph Edward Robbins, Jr.

Joseph Edward “Ed” Robbins, Jr., 85, went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 1, 2022, at his home.

A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday July 30, 2022 at Reidsville Bible Chapel.

A native of Guilford Co., he was a son of the late Joseph Edward and Margaret Byrd Robbins and had lived in Reidsville for the past 33 years.  Ed was a member of Reidsville Bible Chapel, the former Executive Director of the Reidsville Chamber of Commerce and had been an executive director while living in Florida.  He had taught high school at Page High in Greensboro, was the former band director at Vandalia School and he had taught at Community Baptist School.  Ed was preceded in death by his parents and by a daughter, Shelly Leigh Hendry.

Surviving is his wife, Ellen Lonas Robbins of the home, son, Patrick Sean Robbins of Wilmington, step-son, Samuel T. McCartt Jr. (Roberta Lynn) of Reidsville, grandchildren, Joel Hendry, Jonathan Hendry, Rebekah Maciorowski, Grace Hendry, Nathaniel Hendry, and Micah Hendry.
