Joseph Bartlett “Joe” Pegram, 81, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Thursday January 14, 2021 at Annie Penn Hospital. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic a private graveside service will be held. You may come by Citty Funeral Home Saturday January 16, 2021 9:00 AM till 12:30PM to show your respects and sign a register for Joe. A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late William Bartlett and Josephine Brown Pegram and had lived in Rockingham County his entire life. He was a retired employee with Sears Mail Order in Greensboro with 38 years of service. He was a member of Jefferson Penn Masonic Lodge #384 AF&AM, a former member of Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Depart, a former member of the Rockingham Caswell Hunting Club, and a former member of the Wildlife Lake. Joe was an avid fisherman and hunter and was preceded in death by his brothers: Norman Pegram, Robert Allen Pegram, and his sister: Ramona Garrison Ware. Survivors include his wife of 62 years: LaVerne Combs Pegram of the home, son: J. Mark Pegram and wife Denise of Reidsville and their children Rebekah Wells Pegram and Meredith Combs Pegram, daughter: Amy P. Robinson and husband James of Reidsville and their children Whitney Robinson Chapmon and husband Ethan and William Spencer Robinson and a sister: Helen P. Holt of Reidsville.
