John Paul Shreve

John Paul Shreve, 47, formerly of Reidsville, NC died Wednesday April 14, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital Greensboro, NC. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A native of Reidsville, he was a son of Elwood Otis Shreve and the late Carol Ann Cox Shreve and had lived most of his life in Rockingham County. He enjoyed traveling, painting, music and had written nearly 50 songs. He was loved much and will be missed much. John was preceded in death by his mother: Carol Ann Cox Shreve, his oldest brother: Tommy Cox and his step-mother: Jewell Mills Shreve. Survivors include his father: Elwood Otis Shreve of Reidsville, his brother: Mark Shreve (Marti) of Elon, and sisters: Jeanette Compton of Asheville, MaryAnne Preston (Steve) of Bassett, VA, Christen Taylor of Raleigh, and a number of loving cousins, aunts, an uncle, nieces and nephews.
