John Hillard Cochran, IV, 55, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Saturday February 28, 2026 at his home after a lengthy Illness.
Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 P.M. Wednesday March 4, 2026 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Christi Taylor officiating. The family will see friends following the service in the funeral home.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late John Hillard Cochran, III and the late Ethel Morrison Cochran. A self-employed paint contractor, he liked building things, cooking and he played football and basketball when he was younger. He loved racing and all other sports. John enjoyed being with his family and looked forward to family gatherings. He was preceded in death by a brother: William Eddie Cochran, an uncle: Jimmy Cochran, and his close friend: Hugh Norton.
Survivors include his daughters: Marissa Cochran (Elton Martin) and Brianna Cochran both of Reidsville, his sisters: Dreama Woods, Tracy Pruitt and Mary Jane Turner all of Reidsville, grandchildren: Kaliyah Cochran, Jamarrion Martin, Montina Lillyann Martin, and one grandson on the way, aunt: Susan Woods of Madison, uncle: Jaybird Cochran of Myrtle Beach, and the mother of his children: Melissa Carpenter of Greensboro.
