John Henry “Bootsie” Cannon, Jr., 62, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at his home.

A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late John Henry and Mary Martin Cannon and had lived in Reidsville all of his life. He was a truck driver and attended Piedmont Baptist Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter; Jamie Lynn Cannon and a brother; Russell Cannon.

Surviving is his wife; Rhonda Sutton Cannon of the home, sons; John Henry Cannon III of South Boston, VA and Joshua Cannon of Eden, NC, a daughter; Lindsay Cannon of Reidsville, a brother; Ricky Cannon of Reidsville, sisters; Nancy Lee of Reidsville and Iona Carter of Stoneville, 5 grandchildren. There will be no formal service. Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Cannon Family. Memorials may be made to our website to help the family with the cost of funeral expenses.
