John Lee Blake, Jr.

John Lee Blake, Jr. 78, of Greensboro went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Beacon Place Hospice Home.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.  They will see friends and family from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2025 at Citty Funeral Home.

A native of Kokomo, Indiana, he was a son of the late John Lee Blake Sr. and Betty Jewell Blake Dausch and he had lived in Reidsville for 28 years  before moving to Greensboro where he and Judy have lived for the last 21 years.  John was a self-employed building contractor and a member of Reidsville Alliance Church.  He was a US Army Veteran and a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.  John loved his grandchildren and his family with all of his heart. 

He is survived by his wife of 48 years:  Judith Montgomery Blake of the home, his sons:  Jon Blake of Gibsonville, Joe Blake of Levenworth, Indiana, and Kenneth Pryor (Holly) of Reidsville, his daughter:  Morgan Blake of Reidsville, his sister:  Rose Rayn of Kokomo, Indiana, his grandchildren:  Zachary Pryor, Kaitlyn Pryor, Caroline Closson, Olivia Closson and Alexis Adwani.
